This is the best place for breakfast in Carthage. I'm super picky about my eggs and they always get them right. Every time. Service is usually really good and prices are what you would expect for a sit down breakfast. That being said, we went for dinner once and it was not good. Not sure if it was a fluke or not, but we just stick to breakfast now.

Stopped in for dinner during our one night in Carthage. Pretty quiet for dinner, but really enjoyed the food in this old-school diner. Meatloaf with mashed potatoes and peas was one of the specials so I had to get it. Awesome comfort food. Great meatloaf and gravy. The meal wasn't heavy at all. We also ordered beef barley soup. So good on a chilly night. Super clean inside and the friendly service. The prices are beyond reasonable.
Excellent food and service with a smile. Great menu with nothing but country diner favorites. Some unique Greek and Italian twists. Also, keep an eye on that Specials whiteboard. And pie!!!
Was skeptical about the breakfast but seeing great reviews on Google. So we showed up on Saturday morning on our way to Kansas City and we had a great breakfast. She had the scramble. I had the biscuits and gravy and everything was superb.
Upon walking in I felt like I walked into a mob restaurant: IN A GOOD WAY. Within one minute, three different men with thick accents checked on me to see if I needed help. My takeout order was ready on time and very well bundled for transporting. I felt my portions I received were very generous, especially my steak. The food was incredible. I'm trying new things and I ordered liver. Personally, I didn't like it, but my liver-loving friends said it was excellent even cold. Great service, great food, great pricing for the portions. Will return and recommend. Next time I want to dine in though to really get a feel for this place
Stopped for the night on my road trip and discovered this amazing place! Service was excellent. Food was some of the best I've had in a long while. Definitely put it on my must stop places when I travel through again.
Lovely place with impressive menu variety, and excellent food, freshly prepared. We had grilled chicken garden salad (the best I’ve had after various previous disappointments at restaurants around Overland Park, KS), and steak skillets. Will be visiting again on our way to AR.
